Errtel, Pentagrams, and Elemental System
Master the power of the elements: assemble pentagrams, fit errtels, and transform your character into a machine of elemental damage and defense in PvP and PvM.
The Elemental System is one of the most advanced layers of character evolution in The Classic MU. Instead of just increasing conventional attack and defense, it introduces specific attributes of elemental damage and elemental defense.
The outcome is defined by the combination of the equipped pentagram, the errtels fitted into it, and the chosen element. Players who understand and develop this system gain a real advantage in duels, sieges, and in hunting the most powerful bosses on the server.
Errtel — Fitting and Evolution
The errtels function as elemental jewels fitted into the slots of the pentagram. Each errtel adds attributes related to attack, defense, or special elemental effects.
Errtels are organized into Ranks 1 to 3 and can be evolved from Lv 1 to Lv 10. The higher the rank and level, the more powerful the bonus granted, but the lower the chance of success during evolution.

The table below presents the success chance of each evolution, considering the rank and level of the errtel.

When generating or evolving a Rank 3 Radiance errtel, the special attribute is selected according to the following probabilities:

Pentagrams — The Base of the System
The pentagram is the central item of the Elemental System. It receives the errtels and determines the available slots for building the elemental configuration of the character.
- Total quantity: each pentagram has 5 slots.
- Initial slots: the pentagram obtained from drops has up to 4 slots already unlocked.
- Fifth slot: must be unlocked later through the expansion system.
- Information visualization: hold the ALT key and right-click on the pentagram.
Pentagram Evolution
The pentagram can be refined like conventional equipment, using jewels and the Chaos Machine.
- Up to +6: use Jewel of Bless.
- Up to +9: use Jewel of Soul.
- Above +9: evolution must be performed exclusively at the Chaos Machine, located in Trivalis.
Elemental System — The Five Elements
The Elemental System increases the elemental damage and defense of the character, both in PvP and PvM. These attributes function separately from the conventional attack and defense values.
Each element has a characteristic color, displayed according to the equipped pentagram.
- Darkness: Darkness.
- Earth: Earth.
- Fire: Fire.
- Water: Water.
- Wind: Wind.
Each element has its own attack and defense interactions. Therefore, the choice should consider the build used and the enemies the character intends to face.
How to Unlock the Fifth Slot — Radiance
To unlock the additional slot of the pentagram, it is necessary to obtain the item Expansion Scroll of Radiance Slot.
- Recycle Ancient or Errtel items that will not be used.
- Each recycled item generates 1 Elemental Powder.
- Gather 25 Elemental Powder to create 1 Elemental Capsule.
- Open the Elemental Capsule to try to obtain the Expansion Scroll of Radiance Slot and other elemental rewards.
- Use the scroll to unlock the fifth slot of the pentagram.
Evolution Tip
- Avoid spending resources trying to evolve high-rank errtels early in the progression.
- Start with Rank 1 errtels, which have a 100% success chance up to Lv 3.
- Accumulate Elemental Powder by recycling Ancient and Errtel items that are not part of your configuration.
- Offensive characters should prioritize elemental damage attributes.
- Defensive characters should prioritize elemental defense attributes.
- Take the pentagram above +9 at the Chaos Machine in Trivalis only when it already has the correct errtels fitted.
- A planned investment in the Elemental System is what separates a common character from a competitive setup in the end-game.
